Welcome
I believe conflict doesn’t have to be chaotic or intimidating. Most of the time, people just need a steady guide, a structured conversation, and a space where they can actually hear each other again. That’s the heart of what I do.
My name is Sean, and I founded Essayons Resolution Services with this guiding motto in mind “Let Us Try.” It’s a reminder that no matter how difficult things feel, there’s always a way forward if we’re willing to work the problem together.
What Drives My Work
My path to alternative dispute resolution wasn’t accidental. I’ve spent years in environments where communication, teamwork, and communication skills weren’t just helpful — they were essential.
I’m a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and I’m trained through the Mediation Training Institute as a Workplace Conflict Mediator and Conflict Dynamics Profile® practitioner. I continue to serve the United States Army as a Human Resource Specialist supporting leaders, teams, and organizations through complex challenges where clarity and calm matter. I am also a Master Sergeant Non-Commissioned Officer in the Army Reserves where I evaluate, mentor, and train units during field exercises, combat training center rotations, and pre-mobilization preparation.
Along the way, I built a strong academic foundation for understanding people and organizations: I earned an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Keiser University, which gave me practical insight into legal processes, case organization, and how disputes move through the court system. I later completed my Bachelor of Science in Communications from Kaplan University strengthening my understanding of how people communicate, connect, and sometimes misunderstand each other. I also hold an MS in Human Resource Management from Florida International University, where I focused on organizational behavior, conflict management, and leadership — all of which directly shape my approach to mediation.
The Turning Point
Over the years, I watched how unresolved conflict quietly erodes teams, families, and workplaces. It doesn’t explode all at once; it leaks into morale, trust, and communication until people barely recognize what the original issue was. I found myself drawn to the moments when people finally sat down and tried to talk. Those moments weren’t easy, but they were honest. And they were powerful.
Eventually, I realized that helping people navigate those conversations wasn’t just something I was good at — it was something I was meant to do. I have seen firsthand how poor communication can derail progress in settings ranging from workplaces to warfighting environments.
Why “Essayons”?
The name of my practice isn’t a branding choice. It’s a philosophy. Translated from French Essayons — Let us try, the longstanding motto of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It's a reminder that resolution doesn’t require perfection. It requires willingness. It requires showing up. It requires trying.
Mediation isn’t about forcing outcomes. It’s about creating a space where people can try again — to communicate, to understand, to move forward. That’s the heart of my work.
My Approach
My approach is shaped by the environments that trained me: disciplined, structured, and human. I don’t raise the temperature. I lower it. I don’t push people toward an answer. I guide them toward clarity. I don’t assume what someone needs. I help them articulate it.
People often tell me they feel calmer within the first few minutes of a session. That’s intentional. Conflict is loud. Mediation should be quiet enough for people to hear themselves think.
What I Believe About Conflict
Conflict isn’t a failure. It’s information. It tells you something about what matters, what hurts, and what needs attention. When people understand that, the conversation changes. They stop trying to “win” and start trying to understand. That’s where resolution begins.
Why I Built This Practice
I founded Essayons Resolution Services because people deserve a place where conflict can be addressed without fear, judgment, or pressure. A place where they can speak openly, listen fully, and walk away with more clarity than they arrived with.
Every mediation session is a chance to try — to communicate differently, to see the problem from a new angle, to choose a better path forward. My job is to make that possible.
